The Coalition has the following three membership categories:
Member Organizations (Members) are scientific associations, professional societies, and science academies that have taken an official decision to become a Member of the Coalition. Members assign two representatives to both participate actively in at least one committee or working group and represent their organization on the Coalition Council. The two representatives may be members of the scientific organization’s leadership, membership, and/or staff.
Affiliated Organizations are scientific associations, professional societies, and science academies that want to explore the relevance of human rights to their organization or discipline, but which have yet to determine whether they want to join the Coalition as Members. Affiliated organizations assign one representative to participate actively in at least one committee or working group. Affiliated organizations are not represented on the Coalition Council.
Affiliated Scientists are individual scientists who support the Coalition’s objectives and/or want to explore the relevance of human rights to their scientific disciplines. Affiliated scientists are encouraged to participate in Coalition committees and/or working groups.
